Just an Example ! (Nikki Kahani)
“Is this story really true, or is it just a myth?”
he asked.
The old man smiled.
“Son, every story doesn’t have to be proven true.”
“Then why do people tell such stories?”
“To make people understand something easily.”
“But people start arguing about the names and characters instead !”
The old man laughed.
“That’s the funny part.
An example is just a finger pointing at the moon.
Don’t start arguing about the finger and forget to look at the moon!
It can be a local story, a historical story, or a mythological one.
The important thing is not always who was in the story, but what the story is trying to teach us.
The boy nodded.
“So, the story is just a tool?”
“Exactly,” the old man smiled.
“Use the tool to understand the message.
Don’t turn the tool itself into the whole argument!”
